Chappell Players Theatre Group produces FOUR mainstage shows each year. With a 9 month school year consisting of many breaks, holidays, etc., you can imagine how fast paced our shows are! Each show process is roughly a month, give or take, from the first day of auditions to strike. We fit a lot into one month and because of the hardworking nature of our members, we are able to continue with a four show season!

MUSICAL:

The fun begins with the musical! Auditions are typically the first week of classes and the show takes place mid-October. The musical runs for seven shows over two weekends and past productions include RENT, Godspell, Grease, and Hairspray!

CABARET FOR CHARITY:

The Annual Cabaret for Charity started in 1999 in order to  benefit the St. John's Bread and Life Mobile Soup Kitchen. The Cabaret is a student-driven show produced in collaboration with our sister organization, Alpha Psi Omega. Auditions are typically held in mid-October with performances for one weekend in mid-November. Past Cabaret themes include CabaDisney, CabaNoir, CabaRadio, and CabaLove.

STRAIGHT PLAY:

We start off the Spring semester with auditions for the straight play the first week of classes. This is a great opportunity for newcomers to join our group and for non-singers to showcase their talents. The straight play performs for one weekend in mid-February. Past plays include The Library, How I Learned To Drive, and The Dinner Party.

CHILDREN'S SHOW:

Our last show of the season is the Children's Show, performed for both local elementary school-age students and the St. John's commnity. Auditions take place in February and performances in mid-March. Past shows include The Wizard Of Oz and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
