Every year Chappell Players Theatre Group and the Alpha Psi Omega: Upsilon Chi Cast put on an annual cabaret for charity to benefit St. John's Bread and Life - a mobile soup kitchen working to alleviate hunger and poverty in Brooklyn and Queens. Despite the challenges COVID-19 presented to the theatre community, Chappell Players was able to continue its annual tradition by safely casting, rehearsing, and filming its first-ever virtual cabaret for charity. It premiered on October 24th at 8 pm EST.
This show follows a crazy cast of circus performers hoping to dazzle the audience. Characters such as the Bearded Lady, the Strongman, and even a Snake and her Charmer sing songs ranging from Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" to Miley Cyrus' "Can't Be Tamed."
